Anna has over twenty years of experience working across the Public Sector in Wales including the Police Service, Local Authorities, Fire and Rescue Services, National Parks, NHS and Welsh Government bodies and has an academic background in Professional Development, Education and Training.
A highly motivated, gregarious and positive individual who embraces challenges and has a passion for learning and development of both individuals and organisations. Anna has applied exceptional communication and influencing skills to drive forward the equality agenda. Experienced in providing services in all aspects of training from training need analysis, design and development, delivery and evaluation. Specialist areas include equality and diversity, positive action initiatives and compliance with legislation at a strategic level, team building and motivational speaking. Anna can deliver equality strategies and practical solutions to equality issues for large organisations and is particularly interested in delivering change in organisations, with a focus on hard outcomes and delivery.
Anna has worked extensively across Wales supporting Public Sector organisations
in meeting their duties in relation to the Equality Act 2010.
She has become an expert in the Wales Specific Duties, in particular in relation to the duty to undertake Equality Impact Assessments. She has applied exceptional communication and influencing skills to drive forward the equality agenda in Wales.

Anna has led on a number of initiatives in Wales including the development of the Equality Improvement Peer Review for Local Authorities. She designed and developed the Self Assessment Framework and led the Peer Review process on behalf of the WLGA. Anna has also represented Welsh Local Government on Welsh Government’s Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (Wales) Bill which was the first of its kind in the UK; a bill designed to tackle the disproportionate suffering of women from certain types of abuse such as domestic abuse and sexual violence through improved public services responses.
Anna also represented Welsh Local Government on the Content Development Group for the National Training Framework associated with the new legislation. Anna is also a qualified trainer in the specific area that addresses Honour Based Violence and Forced Marriage. Anna’s passion for developing people also saw her take the lead on a National mentoring/shadowing scheme, Step Up Cymru on behalf of Welsh Local Government – a scheme that aimed to increase the civic participation of individuals from under-represented groups.
Anna is now working as a freelance organisational and training consultant specialising in all areas of Equality. With her extensive knowledge and understanding of the legislative requirements she is currently undertaking an Equality Impact Assessment Audit to identify areas of good practice, areas for development and any associated recommendations to support organisations to meet their legal duties. She has recently broadened out her experience to work within the private sector, providing team building programmes for companies such as Bauer, the largest media company in Europe.
